All of them desperately want to be Simon Cowell from "American Idol," with a pinch of Donald Trump thrown in. And then, for the ultimate in televised irony, there's Faye Dunaway. Then there's "renowned casting director" Joseph Middleton, whose real job is to make and break stars. Fox, who, by her appearance on this series, has just told the world that she can't get any good parts after "Kill Bill" and the rent is really backing up. In fact, it's like "American Idol" only with acting instead of singing.

If you catch them preening in front of the mirror or, God forbid, actually watching a TV series on the WB, then by all means put them in the trunk of the car and drive far, far away to grandmother's house. If they do something and then say, "I was only playing," send them to boarding school - in France. If your child "acts out," lock them in the basement. Especially girls, who may grow up and have this yawning gap of self-esteem they need filled by the glossy sheen of the WB. Do not, under any circumstance, allow your children to become actors.
Here's a cautionary tale for all parents.
