
The GED test is made up of four subjects. Passing the GED test is a huge accomplishment, and colleges recognize that. That is because the GED is the leading high school equivalency diploma, and has been for more than 70 years. 97% of colleges accept the GED as sufficient proof of your academic ability. The cost of the tests is separate from tuition and/or books and it is not paid to Lone Star College. Tests can be taken all together or at different sessions.

All students obtaining their TxCHSE will be invited to participate at one of the LSC Commencement Ceremonies held every Spring. After completion of the program, students are expected to take and successfully pass the computer-based 2014 GED® test. Students can choose between a tuition-based program or a grant-funded program, depending on their circumstances.

The Lone Star College programs will assist adults in getting ready in the four GED® test subject matter areas: Mathematical Reasoning, Reasoning through the Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science.
